Although Patrick sounds like a Texan, he is European. Patrick was born in Germany and raised in France and Chad, Africa. His father was French and in the French Air Force and his mother was German. They met soon after World War II. Patrick earned his Mechanical Engineering Degree in France and worked in the space industry several years before moving to San Francisco, California to obtain his Masters Degree in Business in 1989. During this time he met Mindy and they married in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. After completing his business degree they moved to the Tyler, Texas area where they have continued to live for over 30 years.  Patrick began working for PETS in January 1991.  He and Mindy have two children, Danielle and Dalton.  Patrick enjoys traveling, cooking, and loves spending time with his family. He was a volunteer fire fighter and EMT for his community for 32 years until recently. He truly enjoyed this passion but deceded to spend more time with his family.  Patrick has enjoyed his career in the animal industry spanning more than 30 years.

"This career in the animal industry has made it possible to make many new friends around the world.  I love that in most cases our customers and co-workers are more than just a customer or co-worker. They become friends and family."  ~ Patrick Baldauf

Ryan was born and raised in Buffalo, New York and moved to East Texas in his late teens. He began working with PETS  in 2007.  Ryan is a dedicated part of the team and is valued for his great work ethic. He lives in Canton with his daughter, Zoey. The two enjoy being active, sports,  (remains a lifelong Buffalo Sabers fan!), concerts and spending time with family and friends.

Danielle (Dani) is Patrick's daughter and began working at PETS in 2010.  She is a native Texan, born and raised in Tyler, Texas.  At around 13 years old Danielle began riding horses and now has two barrel horses, Miss Cee Hickory (Miss Cee) and Fight Em Firefighter (Inferno). In February of 2020, Danielle met David and the two were married December 2021 in Tyler where Danielle grew up. The two of them share their home with his dog Riley, a Boxer/Labrador mix, who loves to swim more than a little kid on summer break. Since Patrick was a firefighter, Danielle was around the fire department most of her life and joined at age 16 as a volunteer before becoming certified in fall of 2019. She worked part time for her local ESD helping her community as a firefighter from 2020 until 2022.

"When growing up I always wanted to be a veterinarian. Life happened and plans changed as I grew up. Now I enjoy working with veterinarians and am able to travel around the country and the world to see them at various conferences. I love being able to put faces to names and voices that I talk to over the phone."  ~  Danielle Baldauf

Riley is David and Danielle's Boxer/Labrador mix. Although she is the youngest member of the PETS family, she is just as important to the daily operations. Riley became part of David's family when she was a puppy. She is happiest when going for a car ride, going swimming, or getting lots of attention.

While Riley is the main office dog these days, Patrick and Mindy's dog Lexi still visits from time to time as well.
